The following modem options are available for any Slingshot broadband plan on a 12 month contract.
If you already have a modem you can use this but check that it supports ADSL2+ so you can make the most out of your connection at home (where available).
If you request a new modem from Slingshot during sign-up we'll pre-configure it with your username and password and also send you step-by-step instructions on how to plug it in. It couldn't be easier
Dynalink One Port Standard Modem / Router
FREE on a 12 month contract.Pre-configured ADSL2+ compatible (where available), IPV6 ready, and comes with a free line filter.
nETCOMM Four Port Wireless ipv6 'n' Modem/Router
$123 (normally $154) if you sign-up for (or extend your existing contract by) 12 months or FREE on a 24 month contract!This wireless modem provides secure wireless high speed internet access and allows multiple computers within the home or office to share the same broadband connection. Also comes with 4 Ethernet ports. Pre-configured ADSL2+ compatible (where available), IPV6 ready and comes with a FREE line filter.
Connection types
Connection only – FREE
This connection type should be sufficient if you have less than 5 active jack points in your house, and don't have a monitored alarm connected to your home phone line. All modems supplied by Slingshot include one line filter that can be used for one jack point. A line filter is required for each active jack point in the household.
Connection and Wiring – $153
This option may be required in some cases due to the wiring in your house, distance from the phone exchange, or other factors beyond our control. With this option a Telecom technician will come to your home and install everything for you. The installer will not configure your modem, but everything else will be set up and ready to go. Choose this option if you have more than 5 phone lines in use or a monitored home alarm.
The Fine Print
A minimum 12 month contract applies for broadband connections. If you decide to leave us early, a termination fee will apply of $149.
A $11 postage and handling fee applies if you request hardware from Slingshot.
