Terms & Conditions

1. General

1.1 These terms and conditions (Bundle Discount Terms & Conditions) explain how you can receive a monthly discount off your Broadband plan charges (except where stated otherwise under clause 1.2) (Bundle Discount) when you bundle your Slingshot Broadband with one or more eligible Slingshot service(s) (Bundled Service) from 3 November 2025.

1.2 These Bundle Discount Terms & Conditions apply in addition to Slingshot's Broadband Terms & Conditions and any other terms and conditions that apply to each Bundled Service on your account.

2. Bundle Discount

2.1 To be eligible for a Bundle Discount below, you must have an active Slingshot Broadband plan and at least one Bundled Service on your account when we prepare your invoice.

2.2 For each Bundled Service, you will be eligible for the following Bundle Discount (subject to paragraphs 2.3 to 2.9 below):

2.3 *The Bundle Discount will be pro-rated in accordance with your chosen billing frequency.

2.4 The Bundle Discount will be applied to your Broadband plan charges (or Power plan charges, where applicable) from the start of the first full billing period after your Bundled Service is activated, until the end of the billing period in which that Bundled Service or Broadband plan is terminated. If you activate the Bundled Service part way through a billing period you will not receive a pro-rated Bundle Discount for that part period. You will receive (at the start of the billing period) a full Bundle Discount for the billing period in which your Bundled Service is activated.

Example: If you activate 1x Mobile on your account part way through a billing period (and have opted for monthly billing), one $10 Bundle Discount will appear on your first invoice after the activation date. As your Broadband plan charges are also invoiced in advance (i.e. for the month ahead), the $10 Bundle Discount will also apply to the same period (i.e. in advance for the month ahead). You will continue to receive a $10 Bundle Discount on every invoice until that Mobile is terminated. You will not receive a $10 Bundle Discount on any invoices after that Mobile is terminated.

2.5 You can add multiple Bundled Services to your account to increase your overall Bundle Discount, however the maximum Bundle Discount available to you will be an amount equal to your base Broadband plan charges (Maximum Bundle Discount).

2.6 The Maximum Bundle Discount does not apply to the Power Bundle Discount.

2.7 The Bundle Discount is applied to plan charges only. It cannot be applied to other charges on your account (e.g. modem rental).

Power Bundle Discount

2.8 For the avoidance of doubt, the Power Bundle Discount shall be calculated as a 10% discount off a customer's total monthly Power charges. If you cancel your Broadband Plan which relates to your Bundled Discount, your Power plan will remain unaffected, however, the total monthly Power charges payable by you will exclude the Bundled Discount.

2.9 The Power Bundle Discount does not apply to:

  • 2.9.1 any additional, one-off charges set out in the Schedule of Fees of the Energy Terms and Conditions (including, but not limited to, disconnection and reconnection fees); and

  • 2.9.2 any non-power charges such as Broadband standard monthly charges or Broadband Add-Ons.

3. Retired Power Bundle Discounts

3.1 This clause applies to:

  • 3.1.1 historic customers or existing customers who were previously eligible for, and received, Slingshot's:

    • 3.1.1.1 $20 monthly bundle discount off Broadband plan charges with active Mobile plan offer ($20 Retired Power Discount); and / or

    • 3.1.1.2 10% discount off both Broadband and Power plan with active Broadband and Power plan offer ($10% Retired Power and Broadband Discount),

    (referred to collectively as the Retired Power Bundle Discounts).

3.2 The Power Bundle Discount described in clause 2.2 and $20 Retired Power Discount constitute the same offer, and clauses 1.1 and 2.7 apply, except as stated below:

  • 3.2.1 the $20 Retired Power Bundle consists of $20 discount, rather than a percentage discount; and

  • 3.2.2 the $20 Retired Power Bundle applies that Bundle Discount to the Broadband plan, instead of the Power Plan.

4. Other important things to know

4.1 These Bundle Discount Terms & Conditions come into effect on 7 April 2022 (last updated 3 November 2025).

4.2 The Bundle Discount is not available in conjunction with any other Slingshot discount offer (including the Retired Power Bundle Discounts).

4.3 Activation of Bundled Services:

  • 4.3.1 A Mobile service is activated on your account when you activate the SIM we send you, by placing it into a compatible mobile device and following the instructions provided with the SIM.

  • 4.3.2 A Power service is activated on your account when we successfully start supplying electricity to your address. Before this can happen, we will need to complete a "switch action" from the New Zealand Energy Registry. As part of that process, we may require you to provide the ICP number and meter details for your address. In some cases beyond our direct control, we may not be able to supply retail electricity to your address.

  • 4.3.3 An Insurance Service is activated on your account after you accept a quote and Open Insurance (as agent of the underwriter TOWER Insurance) issues the certificate of insurance for the relevant insurance policy to you.

4.3.4 If you do not have a Slingshot Broadband plan you are not eligible for a Bundle Discount, even if you have multiple Bundled Services on your account.

4.3.5 Slingshot can change or withdraw the Bundle Discount or Bundled Services at any time by giving you at least 30 days' notice.

4.3.6 Your Broadband plan and all Bundle Services must all be on the same Slingshot account.

4.3.7 All amounts include GST.
